Empowering Ethiopian Women

Empowering Ethiopian Women (EEW) is a new Israeli NGO. It was established in 2020 by, and for, Ethiopian Israeli women. The organization provides support and encouragement in urgently critical areas such as higher education, professional training, business development, and core women's issues. EEW grew out of a grassroots social media community platform of more than 16,000 members created in 2017 with the aim of empowering Ethiopian Israeli women.

InTech

The InTech Program, initiated in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor in July 2022, aims to ensure that every young Ethiopian Israeli adult has the opportunity to integrate into Israel's high-tech industry if she or he wishes to do so. Over cycles of three months, participants receive hands-on guidance in various tech roles, engage in mini-projects, interact with tech professionals, and go on on-site tours, allowing them to assess their suitability to the wide variety of roles available in the high-tech world. The program includes job counseling and information on academic and non-academic training paths. Graduates select a study path tailored to their needs and receive ongoing support until they secure their first high-tech job. The program aims to reach 1,600 Ethiopian Israeli young adults and have at least 1,000 enrolled in technological studies by 2025.
